From 9/2018 to 4/2019, while working for Professional Service Industries, Inc. (PSI), Engr. Nixon Mavinga has been involved in soil compaction process (Dirt, Sand and ABC stone) and concrete pouring process within the Duke Energy’s 560-megawatt (Two 280-megawatt) Asheville Combined Cycle Natural Gas Plant Project.
From 5/2010 to 7/2016, while working for B.K. Architects / SNC-Lavalin International, Engr. Nixon Mavinga holding the title of Deputy Project Manager, supervised the project of extension and modernization of the Port of Bata, under construction by China Road & Bridge Corporation, and SOMAGEC / ETERMAR, whom the Project Owner was the Ministry of Public Works of Equatorial Guinea (Central Africa) (Project Geographical location: 1o 49’ 30’’ N, 9o 44’ 32’’E).
From 5/2014 to 7/2016, while working for B.K. Architects / SNC-Lavalin International, Engr. Nixon Mavinga holding the title of Senior Engineer Auditor, supervised the project of extension of the seaside boardwalk of Bata, Phase VI, and fishing port, under construction by BOUYGUES BATIMENTS G.E., whom the Project Owner was the Ministry of Public Works of Equatorial Guinea (Central Africa) (Location: 1o 51’ 12.7’’N, 9o 45’ 16.5’’E →1o 50’ 24.8’’ N, 9o 44’ 44.8’’E).
From 12/2013 to 3/2014, while working for B.K. Architects / SNC-Lavalin International, Engr. Nixon Mavinga holding the title of Project Manager, did a counter expertise of the of channel access dredging project for the Ports of Akonikien and Kogo on the bed of the Muni River estuary (Border between Gabon and Equatorial Guinea). Works done by SOMAGEC & ETERMAR, whom the Project Owner was the Ministry of Public Works of Equatorial Guinea (Central Africa).
From 11/2006 to 5/2010, while working for B.K. Architects / SNC-Lavalin International, Engr. Nixon Mavinga holding the title of Project Engineer, supervised the project of extension of the Port of Malabo, including Military Port, under construction by SOMAGEC & ETERMAR, whom the Project Owner was the Ministry of Public Works of Equatorial Guinea (Central Africa).
From 8/2006 to 11/2006, while working for M.W. Afritek Sprl, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Engr. Nixon Mavinga holding the title of Quality Assurance Engineer (BSAM), Performed design calculations for structures and estimated construction costs for proposals, and Managed project schedules and coordinated subcontractors.
From 5/2005 to 8/2006, while working for MTD Engineering, Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Engr. Nixon Mavinga holding the title of Project Engineer, had been involved in analysis, design calculations, and execution of reinforced concrete structures projects. He coordinated the supervision of works for the rehabilitation of 10 school buildings at western part of Kinshasa, and participated in the team in charge of writing files of request for tender (RFT).

- Meeting in Shanghai with the technical direction of Yangshan Deep Water Port.
- Guided Visit of Changxing Branch-ZPMC which is one of the largest production base of portal cranes and Heavy equipment of Zhangjiagang Port Machinery Company (ZPMC).
- Meeting in Tianjin with the technical management staff of the port of Tianjin.
- Technical meeting in Tianjin with the designers for the project of port of Bata.
- Meeting in Beijing with the general bureau of China Road & Bridge Corporation.
