Membership Categories
A member of The Congolese Association of Engineers must be either a citizen of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), a native of the DRC, or their descendants.
Executive Committee members must first be a Corporate Member and possess a Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited Polytechnic/College of Engineering, or similar institutions. He/She must have at least 5 years of practical engineering work experience and must be at least 25 years of age at the time of election. Master degrees shall count 2 years and Ph.D. shall be 6 years toward the required work experience.
Corporate members must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited Polytechnic/College of Engineering, or similar institutions at the ordinary national Bachelor degree level.
Fellow members are distinguished members with all membership privileges. Fellow members must be retired engineers, recognized for their valuable contributions to the Society and their widely acknowledged authority in their engineering disciplines.
Associate members must possess an Associate degree or an Associates in Applied Science degree from an accredited Technical College, or similar institutions at the Associate degree level.
Senior members shall be recognized for their years of experience in their engineering disciplines. They must have had at least 10 years of practical engineering work experience.
Student members must be at least a freshman already enrolled in an Engineering, or an Engineering Technology program, or similar programs from an accredited school.
